Privacy Policy

Tongue Weight: Trailer Hitch ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). The short version: everything stays on your iPhone. We collect nothing, and there is no account.
1. Motion sensor
During a measurement the App reads your iPhone's accelerometer to measure how your vehicle tilts. The readings are analysed on your iPhone and discarded afterwards, unless you turn on Field capture (below). They are never sent anywhere. Reading the accelerometer needs no permission prompt; the App does not use the microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos.
2. Field capture (optional, off by default)
If you turn on Settings → Field testing → Field capture, the App saves each measurement's raw tilt recording and its settings as files in the App's folder on your iPhone, for accuracy testing. They stay on your device, visible in the Files app, until you delete them or share them yourself.
3. Data stored on your device
- Rigs: the names and details you enter for your vehicles and trailers (type, weights, ratings).
- Measurements: each result (tongue weight, range, share of trailer weight, date, your note).
- Preferences: your weight (used as the calibration weight), settings, the free-tier counter and whether you have Pro.
None of it leaves your iPhone unless you share a result yourself. Deleting the App deletes all of it.
4. No analytics, no trackers
The App contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporters or third-party trackers, shows no ads, and makes no network requests of its own. We operate no servers that hold user data.
5. Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the App whether you have Pro; we never see your payment details or Apple ID.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
